The first Boise yard.

Capital Lumber opens at 111 N. 15th Street and begins serving Boise builders.

1950s

A move to State Street.

The yard relocates to 3105 W. State Street, where it remains today.

1974

Bob and Becky take the yard.

After 21 years with Boise Cascade, Bob Perrin and his wife, Becky, purchase Capital Lumber.

2017 — TODAY

The next generation steps in.

Chris Perrin takes over in 2017. Today the third generation is helping shape the yard’s next chapter.

When the recent storefront renovation uncovered clear vertical-grain cedar beneath the old façade, the family kept it in place—old material becoming the foundation of the new front.

Bob and Becky Perrin bought Capital Lumber in 1974. Their son Chris carried the yard forward in 2017. Today Brynna, Travis, McKenzie, and Dane are working alongside the team and planning for the next generation of Boise builders.
